THG's Core Values

Hockey Should Be Fun

We believe young players learn best when they’re enjoying themselves. Sessions should be energetic, engaging, and full of smiles, because fun builds confidence and a lasting love for the game.

Every Player Matters

No two players are the same. We put the individual at the centre of our coaching, making sure every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to develop at their own pace.

Learn by Playing

The best learning happens when players are involved and active. We use games, challenges, and realistic situations to help players build skills, make decisions, and grow in confidence without fear of getting things wrong.

Supportive Coaching Environments

We create positive, inclusive environments where players feel comfortable trying new things, asking questions, and learning from mistakes. Confidence grows when players feel supported, not judged.

High Standards, Genuine Care

We care deeply about the players we coach. Sessions are well planned, age-appropriate, and delivered to high standards, with safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment always coming first.

Camp Competitions

THG Hockey Camp Competition – Terms & Conditions

The Camp Competition is open to all registered participants attending a THG Hockey camp and runs across the full duration of each camp.

Players may be awarded points throughout the camp for positive attitude, teamwork, effort, helpfulness, coachability, and individual skill development. Scores from all challenges, activities, and awards during the camp may be combined to produce a final leaderboard.

The participant finishing first on the final leaderboard will win one new Grays composite hockey stick (36.5"). The specific model, colour, and design of the stick may vary between camps and will be determined by THG Hockey.

To encourage wider participation, if the first-placed participant has won a hockey stick prize at a THG Hockey camp competition within the previous 12 months, the hockey stick prize will instead be awarded to the next highest-placed participant who has not won within that period. The first-placed participant will receive an alternative prize, which may include THG Hockey merchandise or another item selected by THG Hockey.

In the event of a tie on points, or where a participant does not take part in the full duration of the camp, THG Hockey reserves the right to determine the final standings and prize allocation at its sole discretion.

The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is available.

THG Hockey reserves the right to amend, withdraw, or substitute the competition prize at any time where necessary.

THG Hockey’s decision on all competition matters is final.
