Player-Centred Development

Our camp focuses on helping every young player grow in confidence, skill, and game understanding.
Inspired by England Hockey’s Golden Thread, we create an environment where players feel supported and challenged at the right level.

Skills That Transfer

We build core hockey skills that benefit school, club, and future performance pathways.
Sessions encourage players to make good decisions, read the game, and apply techniques in realistic, game-based situations.

Learn Through Play

Players develop through small-sided games, fun challenges, and guided competition.
This supports England Hockey’s emphasis on learning through realistic, enjoyable hockey experiences.

Positive Coaching Culture

Our coaches follow England Hockey’s approach of creating an empowering, player-first atmosphere.
We promote confidence, curiosity, and resilience.

Safe, Supportive Environment

We aim to provide an environment where players can express themselves, take risks, and learn from mistakes.

Inaugural Camp

The December 2025 camp is our first event, so we’re keeping numbers and spaces limited to St Hugh's pupils only as we fine-tune the experience.

Please note that THG Hockey is not affiliated with St Hugh's School in any way.
